Terms of Use
Use the tools freely, personally or commercially. The service is provided as-is without warranties; location accuracy depends on your device and should never be your only input for safety-critical decisions.
The terms
- Free use: the site, widget and free API tier may be used for personal and commercial purposes within the published rate limits.
- No warranty: everything is provided “as is”. Coordinates, addresses, sun/moon times and all derived data are best-effort; do not rely on them as the sole input for navigation, aviation, marine, or emergency use.
- Travel & permit information: destination guides and permit facts are editorial content, verified against official sources on the date shown on each page — not professional advice. Confirm rules, fees and conditions with the issuing authority or a licensed local guide before you rely on them.
- Liability: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential — arising from use of, or reliance on, the site, its data or its API. The service is free of charge; if it does not meet your needs, the remedy is to stop using it.
- Indemnity: if your use of the site or API breaches these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the resulting costs.
- Embed & API fair use: keep the widget's attribution link visible; do not resell raw API access; respect rate limits and OpenStreetMap's attribution requirements (geocoding data © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL).
- Acceptable use: no attempts to deanonymise users, probe infrastructure, or use the services to violate law.
- Changes: features and limits may evolve; material API changes are announced to registered developer emails.
